We serve more than 4,000 seniors across our San Fernando Valley campuses, delivering personalized care tailored to each individual’s needs, from independent living to specialized healthcare programs.

The responsibilities of the Cook include, but are not limited to:

Responsibilities:

Review menus prior to food preparation.
Inspect special diet trays to ensure the correct diet is served to residents.
Ensure all dietary procedures are followed in accordance with established policies.
Assist in establishing the food service production line to ensure meals are prepared on time.
Prepare meals in accordance with planned menus.
Prepare and serve meals that are both palatable and visually appealing.
Cook/prepare meals as necessary.
Prepare food according to standardized recipes and special diet orders.
Demonstrate knowledge of kosher dietary laws.

Experience and Skills:

At least 1 year of experience as a lead cook in a fast-paced restaurant.
Excellent communication skills with a customer service-oriented approach.
Strong knife skills.
Serve Safe certification preferred.
Good knowledge of reading, writing, and communicating in English.
